The Hearthstone 8532 Sterling is a soapstone gas stove that utilizes a few Hearthstone technologies, such as direct-venting, to achieve a greater efficiency with combustion. Not only does this gas burning stove tout great efficiency ratings, but it also has fantastic heating capabilities thanks to the natural soapstone that this gas stove is built with, which gives off a relaxing wave of heat that will warm your home, instead of an over-powering blast of heat that comes from steel stoves. This beautiful soapstone stove is capable of heating mid-sized homes up to 1,800 square feet.
There are many features that com built in to the Sterling 8532. As mentioned earlier, the direct vent technology combined with a sealed firebox not only helps improve efficiency, but they also reduce cold air drafts. This is achieved by drawing cold air from outside the home instead of using warm air from inside, which results in a more efficient combustion. This soapstone gas stove uses a Millivolt ignition system that turns off the pilot light when the stove is not in use, saving you fuel. The ignition system also allows you to continue operating your direct vent gas stove even when the power is out, so you can keep your house warm even when the power goes out during a harsh winter storm. A wall thermostat is also included with the soapstone stove, and you also have the option to purchase a remote thermostat, so that you can manage the temperature of the house without ever having to get up from your couch. This efficient gas stove also features top and rear vent adapters, allowing you greater freedom in where and how your heating unit is installed.
With a great variety of stone sets and color finishes to select from, you can order a super efficient soapstone gas stove that fits with the decor in your home or cabin. At such a great price, this highly capable gas burning stove is a fantastic value that you cannot afford to pass up.

Increased stove efficiency; less heat lost up the chimney means more usable heat for less money.
Adjustable heat output
All the pleasure of fire viewing ambiance, even when little room heat is required.
Millivolt ignition system
Stove can operate without electricity; excellent source of heat during power outages.
Included thermostat turns stove on and off; maintains the home at preset comfort level; desired heat is maintained automatically. Optional programmable thermostat is available.
Top and rear-vent adapters
Increase stove location options; reduce installation costs: vent pipe can be hidden from view.
Three-way on/off thermostat switch
Allows you to flip the stove on for instantaneous fire or to control the stove from the wall thermostat or to turn it off.
Variable speed fan with thermostat (optional)
Heated air is moved throughout the home for more uniform temperature. Thermostat monitors stove body temperatures and automatically controls fan.

Unique Direct-Vent installation
Easily installed next to an outside wall with no vertical pipe required. The Sterling can be installed 2" from an outside wall directly to a terminus. (See manual for compact listing.) Most other venting options also available.
