Rosa XXL Wood Cookstove

We love our "Rosa"

We love our La Nordica Rosa XXL! We like the old-fashioned wood cookstoves, but not for our living room. She is stylish and really cranks out the heat. These stoves are very well-packed from the factory--heavy-duty crating to withstand that long trip on a shipping container! My husband moved and installed her by himself. As we laid porcelain tile for a base, we were a bit apprehensive about how to set her in place. This stove is HEAVY--605 lbs. We did discover the soapstone sides can easily be removed, which cuts the weight by 160 lbs. In fact, I would recommend removing them before moving the stove--they just hang there and one fell off when the stove was tipped a bit. However, still an awkward thing to move with no handholds or feet. We left her on her pallet and rolled her into the house on a dolly. He used a series of wood blocks from 4x4s on down to cardboard to first lever the stove off the pallet with a crowbar and then down to the floor. It was a slow process but it worked well. Not one tile was cracked in the process! We love our La Nordica Rosa XXL! We like the old-fashioned wood cookstoves, but not for our living room. She is stylish and really cranks out the heat.
