Our Massive Soapstone Woodstoves contain a European designed woodstove core and 2 3/8" of pure Soapstone veneer. They weigh 1,600 to 2,000 pounds. While looking and feeling like a full masonry heater, they're just a third of the price and a fraction of the weight - an important consideration for many homes. A full masonry heater may weigh 4,000 to 8,000 lbs.

As well, these elegant units are easily dry stack and pin assembled. Mortar is not necessary and the units can be assembled by homeowners and do-it- yourselfers.

Our Massive Soapstone Woodstoves utilize an EPA/Omni Labs approved cast iron woodstove core in which the wood is burned. Surrounding the woodstove core is 2 3/8" thick beautifully crafted and finished soapstone veneer. The Soapstone absorbs, stores, and radiates heat during the burn, and for hours after the fire is extinguished.

As you're well aware, fuel costs are going out of sight, while wood has not risen in cost at nearly the same rate. These beautiful Massive Soapstone Woodstoves are a fantastic "Green conscience" decision that will save you time and money, all while keeping you warm.

We also offer a soapstone-veneer baking oven, the Vermont Bun Baker. While much less massive than the heating soapstone stoves at only 650 lbs., it offers the look and feel of soapstone together with the practicality of a cooking and baking woodstove.
